Week 8 - Day 50+2 "Mommy's Home"

So sorry everyone for the 2 day late thing. As most of you probably saw on my Facebook we had no power on Sunday for 7.5 hours. So I was not able to do anything. I couldn't weigh, blog or farm. Hehehe...I have issues. It was so darn hot but let me come back to that.

The week started off good. We finally went to Gillespie's Carpet in Fairfield and got our carpet ordered. They said they had to order it from the warehouse so we knew it would be 2 weeks before we had to do anything else. My mom finally came home from Texas on Tuesday. I was anxious all day waiting for time to pass so I could get pick her up. Wednesday was the usual "Fresh Choice Wednesday". So yum. I don't know where it came from but then my husband says, "Lets go to Ashley Furniture and see what kind of deals they have." We had nothing better to do so we did. $1300 later we have a new living room set on the way within in a couple of weeks. Thursday my husband finds out that the carpet is ready and can be installed next week. NEXT WEEK??? Oh crap. We thought we had time to paint and such. Well now we have to kick it into high gear because carpet will be installed on the 1st of July. Oh boy, time to go to Home Depot. Chris made a stop there Thursday afternoon to pick up a bunch of paint samples so I could decide on colors. My inspirations was a few pictures that we have at home with different bible verses. They have a lot of earthy tones. So once I got home Thursday (left early that day) I looked at the samples and made a decision in under 5 minutes. Where is my Staples Button? "That was easy!" So Chris and I were off to Home Depot to get the paint. We decided on one gallon of the accent wall color and 5 gallons of the other wall color. Worked out perfectly. When I got home I started pulling everything off the walls so Chris could fill in holes and prep. By the evening we starting painting accent walls. By 8:30 that night I decided I better take Friday off. I called Howard (my business partner) and said I have to stay home. Friday morning we all got up early and painted ALL DAY. OMG it looks far better than I could have dreamed. Chris had photo shoots on Saturday and his parents coming over on Sunday so we wanted to get as much done as we could Friday. Well it turned out very well.

Saturday my mom and I did some window shopping looking for items to match the house with no real luck. We decided to get my car washed, grab some lunch and go home to watch a movie. We watched "When in Rome". Really cute movie. Later that night we decided to do a Bingo marathon. We started at 4pm and finished just after 1am. So much fun but man were we tired. We went to Vaca Valley Bingo in support of the Scarlet Brigade (my former high school band, which I was a part of).

Sunday was a mad dash in the morning. Chris and I went to Home Depot and Walmart to get items for the house. We found at Walmart great curtains and Home Depot the curtain rods. We then went to Raley's to pick up some drinks and buns for the pulled pork sandwiches Chris made. So good. Chris' parents came and went. And so did the power. Chris was in the middle of hanging the curtain rod for the dinning room slider when everything just turned off. So luckily he was hanging the rod because with the sun hitting that side of the house it was going to get really hot and fast. We expected the power to come on quickly but as time passed it got hotter and hotter in the house. Soon we were hanging out in the front yard with the sprinkler on for Christian. As the sun set behind the houses we moved to the backyard for Christian to play with his toys. While Chris ran to Subway to get dinner, I walked around to neighbor houses to make sure they had candles. I didn't want anyone left in the dark. Finally at 11pm we gave up and went to bed and of course no one could sleep because of the heat. Well by 12:30am it came back on. We were out of our bed so fast to turn off lights and close windows. And we were out. So tired.

Fun and busy week for sure. This week is just as crazy but I will report on Sunday. Same time, same channel.

As for my weight, well I am doing fine. I just don't know my exact weight from Sunday night so I guess I just have a bye this week and I will give an update next blog.

Have a good week everyone!

Week 7 - Day 43 "Happy Father's Day"

...and Happy Birthday to my BFF Raina.

I am sore. I worked muscles this week that I didn't even know I had. I started doing Kung Fu and Boxing on the Wii. So fun! I didn't lose any weight this week, but I want to believe its because I gained more muscle. That's how it works in my head. So I hope to make it up this week. Which means I hope to break the 200 mark and never turn back.

How is your workout going people? No one ever tells me how they are doing.

This week was busy as usual. I stuck to my usual stuff, walking every day at work, working out on the Wii every night and Fresh Choice Wednesday.

I got to see husband #2 this weekend which was awesome. Its always good times to see Michael. He came over Thursday night. The boy was with the in-laws so we went to dinner and hung at the house to watch the movie "Up in the Air". Good flick. Mike was helping Christopher with two photo shoots on Friday and when they came home we ordered pizza and played Wii all night.

Saturday was dull but I did see "Alice in Wonderland" (Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version). Totally loved it, wish I could have seen the 3D version in the theaters. I did a lot of relaxing and playing with the boy.

Sunday (today) we went to Sunnyvale to visit with Chris' cousins that were in town. That was a long drive but so nice to see them. I hope they come back soon.

I FINALLY finished my book House of Night: Burned. Gosh darn it. I am so irritated that these authors don't knock these books out faster. I don't want to wait to see what happens next. Oh well. I will have to occupy my time with another series.

Did anyone watch anything interesting this week? All my shows were awesome this week especially True Blood tonight. I want to know what everyone thinks of different shows, movies and books. I need more ideas!

OK, I am tired and off to bed. Sorry my blog is boring this week. I will try to do something of interest this week to report.

Have a good week!

xoxo...

Week 6 - Day 36 "How the Other Half Lives"

Woo Hoo! Made it another week and another pound lighter. I never expected to lose a lot of weight each week like the contestants on the Biggest Loser and I am proud of my progress. Loss is loss and I prefer to lose it slow and steady so that I know it will stay off this time.

Lots to report for this week. The week started off slow but I stayed entertained with my new set of shows. The Bachelorette, So you think you can dance, Jillian Michael's Losin' It and FINALLY True Blood. I don't know about you but I love TV, probably too much. There are a couple more shows I am looking forward to that start this next week. We will see how it goes and I will report back.

The work week was short because of a seminar that I was invited to in Half Moon Bay at the Ritz Carlton. So I only had to work Monday through Wednesday. Then Thursday it was on the way to Half Moon Bay (LOL that rhymed). Its so funny how you can arrive at a location and feel totally out of sorts. Like you want to belong and wish you belonged to this exclusive club...but yet you don't. That's one thing I love about my job though, you get to do these awesome things and go to these awesome places for FREE. It was incredible, the property was beautiful, the ocean gorgeous (of course not blue like Hawaii) and the food was amazing. We had a beautiful suite where we had turn down service with chocolates on the pillows and everything. I felt like I was in a movie. I had to take a bath in the luxurious tub just to say I did. It was so much fun. The next day we had an awesome breakfast at this cute little place called Cafe Classique. I would definitely recommend it if you are ever in the area.

Then back to reality. We picked up Christian at Chris' parents house and headed home. My wonderful husband decided to wash and detail my car. It was awesome. He was making up for using my car so much when he went to weddings. I finally got to put my Disneyland Family Stickers and my Hawaii Flip-Flop Stickers on the back of my car. My two favorite places to go!

Chris had a wedding on Saturday. I spent the day with Christian which as usual is always fun. We even braved the heat to walk to the park. It was a little too hot outside and even Christian was ready to head home. 90 degrees was a little much. Chris had a wedding event/show in Sacramento today so once again it was me in the kid. He was quite independent today, playing by himself and watching his shows. So I just hung out, played FV and played Catan on the XBox 360. The day flew and finally Chris was home. We had a yummy dinner and then relaxed. I did watch the movie "Young Victoria" on Comcast's ON DEMAND. Very good movie. I would recommend to anyone who loves history and period movies.

My goal this weeks is to lose 2 more pounds. I would like to maintain the losing 2 lbs per week and so far as averages go I am on track. 5 weeks and 10 lbs. I will work out every day this week and eat good. I also will do my walk every day at work.

My last goal is that I will finish reading Burned. I slacked this week getting it done because I let other things get in the way.

I hope you all had a great week last week and I hope you have a fabulous week this week. I know my week can't be as "fabulous" this next week without the Ritz, but I certainly will try!

I hope to add more readers to my blog...so if you read this please follow me on this blog, just click follow on top!!! See you next week.

Week 5 - Day 29 "A Month Later"

Really? It's been a month already (2 days shy). So in one month I am down 9 lbs. That's right, I lost 2 more this week. Unbelievable! But now I have to step up my game. Still have 21 lbs to go. Very do-able with 2.5 months to go. I slacked a little this week with working out but with as busy as I was I still burned some major calories. Plus the daily walks at work are helping.

Even with the craziness, it was still a pretty uneventful week. I got my hair done as I mentioned last week. I absolutely love it. Much props to Allyson Witt at Glo in Fair Oaks. She has done some amazing things with my hair in the past, but this last time with the color and the Brazillian Blow-Out... my hair is magical now. Thanks Allyson! If you want to know her let me know...I will introduce.

I think more than anything this week I just missed my husband. He had an engagement shoot on Friday, a wedding on Saturday in Oakland and as I type he is in Lake Tahoe/Reno finishing yet another wedding. He won't be home til tomorrow. So it was a lot of me and Christian time. We got to go to a graduation party for Thomas (good friend of the family's son). It was awesome to see some people I hadn't seen in a while.

One major thing this week was my husband doing some crazy kissing ass. Which led to a new car. (Don't tell him but I would have let him get it anyway.) I did enjoy coming home to an amazingly clean house one day this week. He got a 2010 Mazda 3. A car he has been pining over for a long time. How convenient for him that one of my good friends had one on his lot. BTW, anyone looking for a new or used car let me know. I can get you hooked up with a major deal. My friend Robby is the Sales Manager at Vacaville Honda.

I finished a book "Vampire Academy: Spirit Bound" What an amazing book and series. I cant wait for the next to come out, which will probably be a year or so. In the mean time I have the next book to keep me occupied. "House of Night: Burned"

Lastly I started back on my Spanish. Rosetta Stone rocks. I am almost done with Level 1. I cant believe how many words I know. I am getting better at sentence structure and conjugating verbs. Sounds crazy but its so much fun.

So I am proud of myself for keeping at this every Sunday night. I still don't know if many of your read this but the 8 of you that do make my week. If there are more of you then please add as a follower on this blog page. No need to comment on the blog itself, you can just leave a comment on Facebook.

PS...Mom comes home in about a week and a half. I cant wait, I miss you mom.

XOXO...Niesse
